and we love vbs!

So, not much to say right now......

The girls have been in VBS this week and they love it! They've been going each day from 9-12. And Emma and I have been having a good time hanging out together without the girls. She is so funny and crazy. The house is a lot more quiet with them being away!

Not much else to say right now! I just wanted you to know we're still alive! :)
Love!!

Happy Birthday, Oh-Memma!!

So, I know you are all thinking....wait a sec......I thought her birthday was the 2oth!!!!???!

Well, the little known fact is that Todd would rather it be the 19th. It must've been implied enough throughout the pregnancy because when filling out the birth certificate I wrote......yes, July 19th!!! So, no one caught it. I did amend it later, but apparently they don't change birth certificates here in the great state of CA, so there is just a second page, which we can just forget if need be.

So today we celebrated Emma's 2nd birthday! Well, officially our little party is tonight, but how can I resist posting some pics of cute girls in new clothes? IMPOSSIBLE!

Yes!!

Finally, a title! And a great one, too, wouldn't you agree?! I don't even really care about titles except for the long extended title in the archives if I don't have one that basically just uses the entire first sentence of the blog like it does when I don't title a word document. *breathe* (Was that a run-on? Probably.)

Anyhow. I meant to post some pics today of.....Dollar Day at the Fair!! Yes, Dollar Day was yesterday. Parking: $1.00, Entrance: $1.00, Rides: $1.00 Having the Time of your life: Priceless. (Well, that is if you are either a 6 yr old or a 4 yr old. Otherwise, not really having all THAT much fun, just fighting the crowds and waiting in line and smelling pig poo and....WHAT? I had fun, I was talking about Todd....no he had fun, too......I think!) But the batteries in the camera wore out and I only have 3 AAs somehow. Darn. You will just have to wait! (I know you were really excited to see the giant ferris wheel that is SO safe, guaranteed....even if that giant sign in the middle of the wheel's spelling was a little off. The sign said "Santa Barbera County Fair". What, I trust it? Just 'cause it's spelled wrong doesn't mean ANYone would have misplaced a bolt or screw...besides....they probably just forgot to use the spell check!)

And that is pretty much it. I am working on our amen blog, as I previously mentioned. It is exciting! We will be able to post pics of all of our latest crafty endeavors. But it will have to wait a bit since half of AMEN is going to be in Montana for a week or so making prairie dresses or going on cattle drives or something.

Otherwise, that is all. love love.

No title again. This is a small irritation that makes me want to again switch blog systems. I have been looking at WordPress for an ::amen:: blog, and it is pretty nice!! But, I will stick with blogger.....for now :)

So, it is Tuesday, already?? I think most of us napped the day away yesterday! We were all so exhausted from Sunday! And we had a good time. Our friend has a small two person sailboat, so Isabella took a ride out on the lake. She had a ton of fun. And Ab made some new friends on the beach and bossed all the boys around (you go girl!). Emma wouldn't go in the water, but had fun in the sand. Much fun.

Sorry, I forgot the camera, so no pics to post (can you believe it??). Maybe I'll try to get some today for you all! It HAS been awhile.

Is there a problem with blogger that I don't know about? For some reason I am unable to post a title. Ah, well. It will just be an extra long ... in the archives.

Anyhow. I am sure that you all had a wonderful weekend. It was, as usual, sunny and warm on the Central Coast. We got your emails and voice mails just now. Sorry we weren't able to speak with any of you this weekend! We were busy, as Todd had to work extra on Saturday.

And today we spent a fun filled day with a bunch of friends at the lake. So, we didn't get home till too late to call east coast time. Just wanted to tell you that we're thinking of you- the girls have been talking about their Ohio family all weekend for some reason, Bella being very proud she was born in Ohio just like Mommy and Dad. So, will post more later, as of now I am sun drained, so I am going to head off for bed. Love you, talk soon!

strawberry fields forever

I love this time of year.....the scent of sweet strawberries in the air!! Each time we leave our house, the girls remark about the delicious smell and ask if we can stop at the strawberry stand. Yesterday we did- yummy!! Strawberry juice was dripping down their arms!

This morning I am cutting up watermelon, making some potato salad (the store bought just doesn't compare to homemade, don't you think?) and some Magnolia cupcakes (with patriotic sprinkles, of course!) for the picnic we're going to today. Happy 4th!! I hope you all have a fun and safe Independence Day!

(Note: Today I will miss the Rib Burn-Off in Akron- yummy food and festival, followed by the Symphony Orchestra playing patriotic songs, the whole city flooding into downtown for the giant firework show, sitting in the middle of the highway watching them explode overhead while making friends with random strangers who pass by, and joining the chorus of oooohs and ahhhhhs)
