yes, a new space

Hey guys.....

I know I recently persuaded you all to join myspace, just to view our family blog. Sorry about that! I think I am going to switch over to blogger. I am going to try it. Hopefully I will be able to figure it out and be able to post pics for you all to see too. Otherwise, we'll all be back at myspace! So. Here we are. I have been thinking about all you guys so much lately. How is it that we all live so very far away. I turned on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade just to be close to Leah- who didn't even go! She probably watched it on TV like the rest of us. (Yeah, Sis, I heard it was raining :) ) By the way- what did you guys think of Meredith hosting it? It was weird not to see Katie Couric on. I think the "new girl" did good. She had a rough start, right, but who wouldn't?

Well, we took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese's on Sunday. It was their first time going! We were going to have lunch with some friends and we tried 2 places, both closed. So came the suggestion....chuck e's???? The girls had SO much fun, of course. And WE had SO much fun too! Who knew we could take 5- wait, 6 kids (that's right, 6) out to eat- and actually have a 2 hour conversation. I am now singing the praise of Chuck E. Cheese's. Good thing we get to go back in just 2 weeks for Isabella's birthday party!

Sunday was a fun-filled day! As if the pizza and token extravaganza weren't enough, my friend and I took Ab and Bella to see Happy Feet at the drive-in. It was really good timing because we just watched March of the Penguins the night before so the girls totally put them together. And it wasn't sad like the documentary. When we watched The March of the Penguins, Bella was mortified that the mommy and daddy penguin would just leave the baby to fend for itself on the side of the water- never to see them again. Until we explained they were ready, that's how God made them to be, etc. She was pretty much mortified the entire movie- when the baby egg froze, when the seal ate the mommy....when the bird ate the baby....uh....I guess it was pretty sad. But Happy Feet fixed that up- and he saved the day.

So, we have our Christmas Tree up and our house is all decked for the holiday. John Denver and the Muppets is in the CD player with a couple other favorites (You know it can't be Christmas without that and Amy Grant's Home for Christmas!) It even got cold and rainy this weekend. We had to bundle up so it actually feels like winter...for CA anyway- you guys on the East Coast would mock us for wearing scarves in 50 degrees, I know....But 50 is COLD! It actually probably got colder than that- maybe......

Anyhow- that is our overdue update blog. Hope you all don't mind switching your link up to this blog. I just want to try something new. I will try to post some new pics soon. I tried adding one, We'll have to see if it works. It is of Em and Ab's new favorite hobbies- eating candy and watching Bell play video games. AH!
