"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes aAh, the joys of childhood. Speaking of the real-ness of toys, I have to tell you this funny story. The girls were eating their Happy Meals the other day, when Todd walked in on them whispering very excitedly. Apparently, they thought their toys were alive!! They said "The hands were low before, but now they are high, so that means they moved when we weren't watching! They are really alive!" Pretty silly.
long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or
have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you
are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you
get loose in your joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all,

understand."

That dog has to be the best dog ever!! I think someday it will be in the Moore museum. ha!
Awww...Ruff Ruff is such a special doggy! I remember it - like it is happening right now - when Todd woke up from getting his tonsils out and he grabbed that dog and didn't let go of him for days! So sweet.
