ALmost summer.

Last week of school! Last week of school! Yay!! We are so looking forward to being free from our computer and doing whatever we want to all day long! Friday is our official last day, even thought I already got Bella's report card a couple of weeks ago....hmmmm.

So, camping was amazing. It was relaxing and surprising. We had a total of 9 kids and it was ACTUALLY relaxing. They had such a great time. The only thing that was a little weird was the local wildlife. And by wildlife, I mean the squirrels and birds. One day we saw a squirrel chewing a hole in a neighbor's tent. First, I tried throwing some little sticks at him. But he and his gang brother buddy just turned and starred at me. I was afraid! Then, Todd tried sling-shotting a rock at it. He just ran- literally about 1 foot away, then walked right back to his tent chewing. They were scary and sort of gross. At the camp fire we told a progressive story about the rabid squirrels and Isabella had a bad dream about crazy squirrels that night. It was actually pretty funny....not the bad dream, but the whole squirrel issue. The last morning I saw the gang squirrel eating a dead mouse. And when Todd was doing the breakfast dishes, he threw the eggs into the bushes where the birds promptly swooped down to eat them up. There is definitely something wrong!!!!

The kids found a "hideout" in the trees where they spent almost the whole time. It was completely enclosed, almost like a cave of trees branches. There were no grown ups allowed.

tigerlily's first appearance

Here is a make-shift video from the ultrasound video. You can see Emma and Ab's reflections on the TV! (Bella was busy taking a bath with her goggles and nose plug....don't ask) If you can't tell, even though it is SO obvious, :) this is her face, then it switches to a side by side of the 2D and 3D image, then to a large 3D of her profile on the right. The next link is just the continuation, and at the end, on the 2D image you can see her little eye moving around if you look closely. Just click on the links....(for some reason I couldn't embed the images....uh.)

Kinder Grad!

Go Isabella! She got her Kindergarten diploma Friday! It was a fancy ceremony, as you can see. She hopped out of the swimming hole, put on a towel, and got her prize. It was pretty cute, cap, life jacket and all.

We went to a place in San Miguel with a bunch of Central Coast CAVA kids. It was a fun end of the year party. This is Isabella's "teacher", Mrs. Voelker, giving her the certificate. The year is practically over! I can't believe it!

I guess it works

they say shrek 3 is breaking blockbuster records.....so kudos to the crazy marketeers.

just wondering....

Why is Shrek 3 stuff EVERYWHERE? I don't get it. Marketing craze, I guess...but really, Shrek yogurt, Shrek fruit snacks, Shrek at McDonalds, Shrek Shrek Shrek. I just got an email from Snapfish....something about Shrek. Strange.

Any American Idol fans? Isabella loves Blake. She started beat-boxing like him. She also made a sign while we were watching that said 'You're the Best' and held it up to the TV while he was singing. (She made another one that said 'You're not very good' and held it up when someone else sang. Funny.)

So, we finally made it in to the Doctor. Everything is good. Baby is good. Official pre-ultrasound due date is September 30. And our ultrasound is next Thursday.

We went on a CAVA field trip to Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab in Arroyo Grande this week. They have a show that they do once a week where the audience creates an ice cream flavor. We choose the ingredients by show of hands. So ours turned out to be Coca Cola ice cream with chunks of chocolate and pie crust. We named it "Cola Pie" and if you are interested it will be on sale as of tomorrow until it runs out. Just a head's up though, it was GROSS! Really...not so much. But it was fun. :)

and the nice people at poison control....

Last week. Oh, last week, you were so fun. I told you guys I have been sick for AGES. I can tell Todd is tired of it. Well, I am starting to feel a little better after the Robitussin, Vicks Vapo Steam, 10,000 cough drops....but I am going to try to get in to my doctor this week. PRAY that everything goes well and I can get in. THIS WEEK.

Anyway.....last week. On top of the ER, being sick....and whatever else happens in a week. So fun. The day after the elbow incident, the girls were happily watching a movie, Aladdin to be exact, when I thought I would take the down-time opportunity to listen to a random Podcast. Just for fun, nothing enlightening. So, as I was about 7 minutes in, I hear Emma coming. Great, I say, down with the down-time. Then I hear her saying "blah, bleck, yucky, pthhh". What has she gotten into I think to myself....and as she gets closer....I can smell it. Apparently she tried the Vicks Vapo Steam from the humidifier!! Ah! So after the call to poison control and the assurance that she didn't eat to much....I am definitely qualified for best mom ever after two freaky bodily harm incidents in 2 days. Nice. But she IS fine....so maybe. :) On the upside, she later pointed to the humidifier and said "YUCKY!!". At least she learned!

And today we have our VERY LAST face to face with the CAVA teacher. I am supposed to take work samples for Isabella and this morning I realized I didn't have ANY Science or Language Arts samples.....oops!! Good thing our meeting is not until 3:30! Well, in our defense, we still have a MONTH of school left.

Speaking of school, Abigail is starting to become a little jealous, I think. She has been wanting to "do school" with me. I mean, she usually joins our lessons, but she wants JUST HER and I to do some lessons. So I have been starting her on the Kinder phonics curriculum we used at the start of the year. Why are kids so smart? She can totally get it, so I think I will try to keep it up...then maybe she will test into the same grade as Bella when she enters school! A homeschooling mom can dream. Hope you all had a great weekend, have a great week. Love.
